Location: Aldermoor Health Centre

Salary:  £29,301 to £36,001 pro rata, per annum

Full or Part Time - Fixed Term until 31/08/2019 (with the possibility of extension)

An exciting opportunity is available for a talented researcher to join a successful team carrying out qualitative research and developing digital e-health interventions for eczema. The post is available within the Academic Unit of Primary Care and Population Sciences and will be under the supervision of Dr Miriam Santer and Dr Ingrid Muller, in close collaboration with colleagues in the LifeGuide team (see www.lifeguideonline.org), including Professor Lucy Yardley. The work will involve carrying out interviews, synthesising and analysing qualitative data, and helping with planning, developing and evaluating interventions.

Applicants will have an in-depth understanding of qualitative methods and health psychology or a closely related subject and will be starting to build their academic standing, aiming to gain recognition at a national level. Your knowledge and experience will usually have been gained through a relevant PhD* (or equivalent), but may also have been achieved via other research experience, normally supported by a relevant postgraduate degree (e.g. MSc in Health Psychology). Successful applicants will have demonstrated their ability to work independently and efficiently in a research context, and will have excellent written English skills with meticulous attention to detail.

The post can be offered on a full or part time basis and is available from 1stSeptember 2017.
