Administrator Nursing and Pharmacy Teaching Support

The post holder will provide administrative support to the Nursing and Pharmacy programmes within the Institute of Clinical Sciences. To act as principal point of contact and provide administrative support to designated academic staff.

Person Specification

• Considerable administrative experience in HE or NHS setting or relevant equivalent experience
• The post holder will need to be proactive and have the necessary confidence and substantial experience of general office administration to enable them to interact and support a wide range of stakeholders. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, attention to details and an ability to use Microsoft packages fully will be important to this role.
• Educated to “A” level standard with a minimum of GCSE grade C in English and Mathematics or equivalent qualifications/experience
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
• Experience of setting up and maintaining complex working systems 
• Experience of Project Working
• IT literate with the ability to manipulate computer systems and databases, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work quickly and accurately, paying close attention to detail.
• Ability to plan and prioritise workloads effectively
• Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, and to achieve strict deadlines
• Experience of working with sensitive information and detailed understanding of the Data Protection Act and how it applies to education.
• Experience of supporting Committees in a secretarial capacity
