We are seeking to appoint a Research Associate in Magnetic Resonance Brain Imaging in the School of Experimental Psychology. The successful candidate will join a multi disciplinary MR research team exploring imaging for early brain alterations in dementia and related neurodegenerative disorders. University of Bristol offers excellent resources to support cutting-edge research activities.

 

The post holder will be using either a Siemens Magnetom Skyra 3T MR system of CRICBristol or a Philips Achieva 3T MR scanner at Frenchay Hospital for quantitative MRI to explore human brain. The position requires a PhD (or equivalent) degree in Physics, Medical Physics, (Bio)Medical Engineering, Imaging Sciences or other related fields – we are also happy to consider applications from those with pending PhDs, i.e. thesis submitted.  The post holder is expected to have research experience in Magnetic Resonance with a publication track record in internationally profiled journals and detailed knowledge of the MR data acquisition, data processing and analysis methods for in vivo MR. Experience and skills with MR pulse programming is desired, but not required.
