  • Undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Afrikaans and/or English in the full spectrum of research methodology and psychometrics;
  • Postgraduate supervision and research;
  • Presenting papers at national and international conferences;
  • Publishing in accredited journals;
  • Development and strategic positioning of psychometric centre of excellence;
  • Securing sustainable funding for research projects;
  • Rendering relevant services to the University and the community.

  • A doctorate degree and professional registration with the Professional Board for Psychology, with strong recommendation in the category of Industrial Psychology;
  • Evidence of successful research supervision to masters and doctoral students;
  • NRF rated (requirement for professor), clear academic research focus with evidence of recognised outputs and impact commensurate with an appointment as professor/associate professor;
  • Proven record of leadership in research teams and the sourcing of sustainable funding for research projects;
  • Proven record of teaching in the full spectrum of Research Methodology and Psychometrics;
  • Outstanding technical skills in statistical analysis packages;
  • National and international involvement in scientific networks to contribute towards knowledge production and dissemination.

  • Statistical computer skills in SPSS/SAS and LISREL/MPLUS as well as qualitative data analysis such as ATLAS.ti and NVivo;
  • Seven - ten years' teaching experience;
  • Research leadership on national and international level.
