The University of Southampton invites applications from dynamic individuals who are suitably qualified and experienced to join its Faculty Operating Service (FOS) in the Faculty of Business, Law & Art. The service works with Senior Leadership Teams in the Faculty to support those areas of work which provide essential services to the Faculty’s core business and underpins the achievement of the strategic objectives of the University.
The Faculty of Business, Law & Art embraces the Southampton Law School, Southampton Business School, and Winchester School of Art (WSA), and its activities span the University campuses at Highfield, Southampton and Winchester.
This Administrative Officer position is based in Winchester at WSA and your role will be to provide comprehensive administrative support and operational assistance to a number of senior academic managers at WSA, ensuring a high quality and efficient service at all times. You will also be working as part of an administrative team providing a joined-up service to the academic staff. As such, you will need to be a confident and diplomatic communicator and team member with a strong sense of customer focus, and the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise your work in a fast moving environment.
Excellent secretarial, planning, and IT skills and experience are essential, coupled with attention to detail, the ability to manage your own time effectively, the ability to be resourceful under pressure, and a can-do attitude.
