R&D Team Leader, Powder Coatings, Automotive T1/T2 Sector

Joining as an expert in the development of powder coatings systems you will be tasked with managing a team of 4-5 laboratory technicians and coatings engineers for customer-focused development projects as well as overseeing research projects with the purpose to develop the next generation of powder coating systems. Having made siginificant progress in their 2k and 3k powder coating technologies in the last 5 years the company are looking to further develop their systems to help them build on their reputation as a technology market-leader.

Located close to the popular city of Stuttgart in the Baden-Württemberg region of Germany, the company you will be joining are a successful mid-size manufacturer of paints & coatings systems which are used mainly for industrial applications. Responsibilities:

• Managing a laboratory team of 4-5 Lacktechnikers & Lackingenieurs
• Overseeing new research projects to develop new powder coatings technologies (60-70%)
• Managing customer-focused development projects on a short-term basis (20-30%)
• Collaboration with purchasing/procurement in sourcing of suitable raw materials

Requirements:

• Qualification as Lacktechniker or Lackingenieur
• 5+ years of experience in Research & Development
• Hands-on experience in formulations development of powder coating systems
• Languages: German at B2-C2 level required for daily use; comfort in English speaking preferred
