Team Leader, Management Accounting

The Division of University Operations supports the University in the achievement of its core objectives in learning, teaching and research by providing enabling services and effective resources. The division's priorities have evolved from the University's 10 year strategic plan, the Beacon of Enlightenment, with key projects centred around  people, community, assets and infrastructure and processes. 

Finance and Procurement Services provides strategic financial management, reporting, procurement and transaction support services to the University to enable achievement of the University's teaching and research goals. The Branch is responsible for oversight of the University's annual operating budget, capital budget and asset base.

Reporting to the Manager, Research & Management Accounting, this role is responsible for leading a team in driving the centre of excellence model in management and financial accounting and reporting for the University of Adelaide. This includes budgeting and forecasting, reporting and analysis, month end, general ledger reconciliation, fixed asset accounting and financial systems administration.

Salary: (HEO8) $93,493 - $105,179 per annum.

Superannuation: An employer contribution of 17% may apply.

Term of position:  This continuing role is available immediately.

Position requirements

To be successful you should have:

• Extensive experience in leading a team in the successful delivery of a range of management and financial accounting services.

• Demonstrated experience in the management and analysis of finances within a large and complex organisation with diverse business areas.

• Strong accounting skills and a working knowledge of Accounting Standards, regulations and reporting requirements.

• Demonstrated ability to research and prepare comprehensive reports and analysis and/or other communications with a high degree of complexity for a range of audiences.
