School of Chemical Engineering/Clean Energy and Water Research
It is an exciting time to get involved with the Clean Energy and Water Research Program at School of Chemical Engineering, located on UQ’s St. Lucia campus. The School is ramping up its investment in teaching, research and engagement in line with a bold, new strategic vision to ensure the School is at the forefront of meaningful research outcomes and pedagogy across its core impact areas of chemical engineering science, energy, nanomaterials, bioengineering, and environment. The Clean Energy and Water Research Program conducts cutting-edge research and training of PhD students and early-career researchers. Recently, this research program succeeded in an Australian Research Council (ARC) Laureate Fellowship project focusing on sustainable energy storage technology.

The successful appointee will provide high-quality administrative support to Professor George Zhao (Director of Clean Energy and Water Research, ARC Laureate Fellow) including assisting with the processing of financial transactions. Other duties will include assist with travel arrangements; organise group meetings/functions; and day to day management of the Research Group to ensure the smooth running of the office.
Applicants should have completed an associate diploma and relevant administrative experience or training, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.You should also have high level knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office software such as word, excel, and outlook; excellent communication skills for coordination of group activities and liaison with an external to the group; and well-developed organisational, time management and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise own workload and exercise initiative and judgement.

This is a part-time (0.8 FTE/4 days per week), fixed term appointment at HEW Level 4 for one year with possible extension (up to 3-4 years). The remuneration package will be in the range $59,429.60 - $63,305.88 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $69,532.63 - $75,428.27 p.a.).
