Job Purpose

Working under the direction of the Marketing Officer (Undergraduate), the post holder will be actively involved in the planning, coordination and delivery of marketing and admissions activity for Undergraduate programmes in the College of Medical and Dental Sciences.

The post holder will work closely with the marketing and admissions teams to support the full portfolio of undergraduate programmes the College offers including the new BSc Public Health course. This will include working across the whole spectrum of marketing and communications, including both digital and offline marketing activities such as the applicant and enquirer contact strategy and international marketing campaigns. The post holder will also support the admissions process for the new BSc Public Health course in collaboration with the admissions office.

 

Person Specification

  • Good degree-level education or equivalent working experience
  • Experience of working in a marketing or communications environment across a wide range of specialisms
  • Experience of using a Customer Relationship Management system
  • A proven, high standard of written and oral communication and confidence of dealing with projects at all levels
  • Good copywriting skills
  • Experience of providing support for complex internal and external events
  • Ability to work with initiative, under pressure and manage multiple workloads simultaneously
  • Experience of liaising with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior managers
  • Well-developed administrative and organisational skills with a proven ability to pay attention to detail
  • Experience of working with social media in professional context
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Creative and innovative approach to problem solving
  • Computer literate, confident and competent in the use of database systems and electronic communication
  • Experience of working with content management systems for making website/intranet updates
  • A real team player who can also work independently
  • Flexibility to work out of hours as required (including occasional evening and weekend work) and a willingness to travel
