This is an opportunity to join a growing R&D team in a brand new position as Lacktechniker for the development of flexographic inks. The R&D department has a huge number of development projects planned for this year, so you will be working on a consistent pipeline of R&D projects throughout the year for a wide range of customers and for a wide range of applications, allowing you to further develop your technical expertise in formulations development.

Most of your time (80%) will be spent in the laboratory developing new formulations but you will also spend some of your time (20%) on-site with customers providing applications support and testing with the Applications Team, so you will get the chance to develop customer service experience as part of your role which will allow you to move into other business areas (Technical Service, Technical Sales) in the future if you want to change course.

You will be stepping into a team of 15 people with 5 employees specialising in development and the other 10 employees focusing on Colorimetry and Applications Support. The developers they have are still quite junior with an average age of 30 years old, so it is a young, dynamic environment with people who are still developing their own technical expertise, allowing you to learn alongside them whilst you develop your own knowledge and skills.

The company you will be working for are a family owned company who have a long history and legacy in the Industrial Coatings and Inks industries, so they are one of the best known businesses in this sector, so working for them is a great way to build your employment profile which will make you a highly desirable candidate to other competitors in the market.

Requirements:

  • Qualification as Lacklaborant or Lacktechniker
  • At least 2 years industry experience in Research & Development
  • Good practical knowledge of developing waterborne inks
  • Previous experience in Flexographic Inks prefered but not essential
  • B2 Level German minimum (required for daily use). Confidence in speaking English is of benefit.
