Are you experienced in delivering interdisciplinary subject teaching and academic skills support in the Arts and Humanities? Do you have an interest in supporting learners from widening participation backgrounds studying at foundation level? Is your teaching practice grounded in a knowledge of scholarship and theory from within the fields of Cultural Studies, History of Art and/or Media and Communications?

The Arts and Humanities Foundation Year programme is designed to equip students with knowledge and skills for progression to a range of degree programmes in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures.

You will have a subject specialism within the area of Arts and Cultures to deliver interdisciplinary foundation year module study (Level 0). You will contribute to the leadership and delivery of three core modules (‘Modernity and Post-Modernity’, ‘Communications’ and ‘Image, Music and Text’) on the Arts and Humanities Foundation Year in the Lifelong Learning Centre (LLC).  This intensive foundation year is designed to equip students with knowledge and skills for progression to a range of degree programmes in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures.

You will be experienced in delivering both subject content and integrated academic skills teaching, with responsibility for supporting learners undertaking the transition into higher education via foundation year study. You will also contribute to aspects of wider programme delivery, such as student support, personal tutoring, assisting admissions processes, and supporting the Programme Leader.
