Alliances are academic partnerships between the NIHR Clinical Research Network and individual pharmaceutical companies. Their objective is to optimise early phase testing of potential pharmaceutical products which would not otherwise form part of the company’s main research and development programme. As Alliance Officer you would be central to establishing Alliances and resulting Alliance studies.
You will liaise with the life sciences industry, Cluster office, Research Delivery teams, LCRNS, Clinical teams and CTUs to facilitate expressions of interest, portfolio entry, set up and delivery of Alliance studies to time and target within the CRN. This will involve active performance management of your specific portfolio of studies and will involve effective communication with industry partners, Local Network staff, clinical leads, NHS and other stakeholders.
You will have experience of working or managing clinical trials and be qualified to degree level (or equivalent experience) within a relevant science subject. Strong organisational skills, the ability to work to tight deadlines, forge new alliances and deliver to time and target will support you in this role.
