Research Fellow - Transport and Population

Job Details

The School of Earth and Environmental Sciences is a vibrant, multidisciplinary School with extensive teaching and research programs covering the fields of Geology, Geography, Environmental Management, Occupational Health and Safety Sciences and Planning.

 

The role

The successful appointee will engage as a Research Fellow within the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences to work as part of a team across a series of projects housed in the Queensland Centre for Population Research (QCPR). This role will require you to work in collaboration with colleagues across the Transport and Population Research Network and seek out and develop new initiatives for the Centre.

 

The person

Applicants must possess a PhD in demography, population geography or a closely related discipline. You should also have a strong knowledge of the methods, theories and models used in the collection and analysis of demographic data. Experience in managing complex research projects is essential and past experience working collaboratively with government agencies is highly desirable. Candidates must also display strong communication and inter-personal skills.

This role is a full-time position; however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

 

Remuneration

This is a full-time fixed term appointment for 4 years at Academic level B. The remuneration package will be in the range $92,142.74 - $109,419.20 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $107,807.00 - $128,020.46 p.a.).
