Responsibilities for the Associate Specialist, Engineer position include but are not limited to:
- Provides real- time equipment and process troubleshooting support for manufacturing activities on the assigned work shift.
- Identifies and resolves technical and operational problems using sound engineering judgment an lean/six sigma tools. Effectively communicates and collaborates with peers across functional areas and across work shifts to ensure prompt resolution of problems
- Works as a team member on manufacturing investigations, validation activities and/or process improvement projects.
- Assures consistent application of standardized work, engineering and process tools and procedures.
- Assists with and may lead experimental protocols as needed using the Technical Operations lab facilities and/or production equipment at full scale.
- Authors and updates technical and manufacturing documents necessary for investigations, process design/definition, engineering studies, process demonstrations, change control and validation.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or Science
Required:
- Ability to perform aseptic gowning during execution of job duties
Preferred:
- Experience in biologics, vaccine or bulk sterile manufacturing facilities
- Experience using Lean/Six Sigma tools
- Experience managing multiple tasks simultaneously, including leading small projects
