Do you have excellent organisational and people skills? Do you want to join an innovative team working across International Student enquiries and the Student Services Counter?

You will provide high-quality front-facing support for students from all over the world and undertake back-office work which is vital to our students’ progress and life at the University.

You will give information and guidance to students, staff and external contacts related to services for international students, particularly the immigration advice service. You will also provide reception duties for the Study Abroad and International Market Development teams and work on the Student Services Centre counter helping students with a range of enquiries. In addition you will handle a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.

With excellent interpersonal, customer service and team-working skills and a talent for problem-solving, you will have the ability to carry out tasks effectively under pressure with consistent accuracy and attention to detail.

The hours of work will be:

  • During peak periods (including early July and August, and from September to November, throughout January and other weeks to be agreed) you will be expected to work at least 3.5 hours per day, 5 days a week;
  • During the remaining 50% of the year, you will be expected to work at least 3.5 hours per day, 3 days a week. There can be some flexibility with the hours but you will be required to cover the period between 12 and 2pm.
