The role

We are looking for an experienced communications professional who cares about finding innovative and creative ways to promote the positive work of the University. This is an exciting new role, reporting to the Communications and Marketing team, working on campaigns, internal and student communications. If you are passionate about good communications and you thrive in a diverse and complex environment, we want to hear from you.

About you

With excellent core skills across the communications mix, including web, social media, campaign design, PR, branding, partnerships and events, you will have experience of spotting great stories buried in complex detail. You will have the personality and drive to turn them into inspiring creative and impactful communications that engage different audiences.

To excel in the role, you need to be able to engage and network effectively with a wide variety of people. You will be a well organised self-starter, with the ability to prioritise activities, manage complex demands on your time and respond constructively to changes, all based on what is best for the organisation / team.

In return, this role offers the right candidate the chance to devise and implement pioneering communications campaigns to enhance the reputation of the University and the School on a wide range of issues including academic research and teaching excellence, our strategy, vision and brand to a wide range of external and internal audiences.

For more information about the role, please contact Julie Jupe Julie.jupe@bristol.ac.uk.

The University is committed to creating and sustaining a fully inclusive culture.  We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and communities.
