Job Details
The Human Factors and Safety Research Group at the Institute for Transport Studies is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a portfolio of current research projects which seeks to understand both the human factors opportunities and challenges of automated vehicles.
Working closely with this world-leading team on both European and UK-funded projects and with access to the Institute's world-leading Driving Simulator Suite, you will be encouraged to develop your own research portfolio in this area, linked to currently funded projects. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside and collaborate with external stakeholders and industry partners including Jaguar Land Rover (JLR).
With a PhD (or close to completion) in psychology/human factors/driver behaviour, you will also have a background in behavioural sciences and strong numerical and analytical skills with experience of SPSS, MATLAB and R in addition to a track record of successful, high quality publications.
