Are you an experienced and ambitious secondary school teacher looking for your next challenge? Do you have experience of teaching in Geography at secondary school level? Do you want to further your career, teaching to undergraduate students?

This is an excellent opportunity to deliver one module to third year Geography undergraduate students in the School of Geography, providing expertise in the area of Geography teaching in schools. This module provides students with a deeper insight into ‘life in the classroom’ and of ‘teaching as a career’ by undertaking a placement in either a secondary or primary school. The role will involve delivering the teaching of the module through lectures and tutorials, and coursework assessment. You will update the module and learning resources as appropriate and will contribute to ensuring students receive an outstanding educational experience.

You will hold an Honours degree in a relevant subject area, such as Geography, Environmental, Earth or Social Sciences. You will have experience of teaching in Geography at secondary school level and will also have excellent communication, time management and planning skills and be able to demonstrate patience and understanding when teaching Geography to students.
