- Sound knowledge of Plant Physiology and Metabolism.
- Lecturing abilities and post-graduate student supervision.
- Skills for management of research laboratory.
- Ability to do independent research.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to function with ease in the University’s parallel-medium and richly diverse working environment.
Recommendations:

- Willingness to enroll for a doctoral degree at the first available opportunity, if not yet attained by the time of appointment.
- Proven research record or relevant publication in accredited national journals.
- Experience in the field of Plant Physiology.
- Active involvement in research combining Plant Physiology and Metabolism.
- Two (2) to three (3) years’s experiencein teaching in Plant Physiology at tertiary level.
