Duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead all residence heads, college coordinators, programme coordinators and student assistants/volunteers in line with the vision, mission and values of the UFS.
  • Lead the coordination of all co-curricular programmes and initiatives within student communities in alignment with national standards.
  • Lead the coordination of all disciplinary processes in student communities according to the principles of restorative justice.
  • Lead the coordination of all assessment and evaluation processes in student communities in order to ensure data driven practice.
  • Lead programmes, conversations and projects in order to foster social solidarity within diverse student communities.
  • Lead the coordination of all strategic communication within student communities.
  • Lead and coordinate the annual election and training of student leaders within student communities.
  • Lead the budget and financial management processes of the student communities division.
  • Establish and maintain partnership with key stakeholders within and outside the UFS.
  • Actively participate and contribute to the Student Affairs leadership team.
 

Inherent requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in Student Affairs / Residence Life.

  • Building coalition.
 

Recommendations:

  • Postgraduate qualification.
  • Management in Student Affairs / Residence Life.
 

Assumption of duties:
As soon as possible.
