Purpose:
Highly visible leadership position requiring a goal driven, results oriented, change agent professional to manage and lead continuous improvement (Cl) program at our Shelton, CT facility. This position is responsible for our site continuous improvement roadmap. This position plans, initiates, implements and tracks Cl projects. The individual will lead site level LEAN transformation, develop and deliver the necessary training to all levels of the organization in support of Cl and our overall Lean journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design CI program and align CI activities with site AOP objectives and priorities
  • Daily interactions with production, planning, purchasing, quality, sourcing, and R&D teams to ensure smooth connectivity with all CI activities
  • Train and lead cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) at the cell level and across operations
  • Work with Operations and Quality teams to implement robust, high quality and highly efficient processes as part as new product development (NPD) and new product introductions (NPI's). note: measured by NPI launch effectiveness
  • Provide financial analysis of improvements to the management team and maintain the savings database
  • Coach and mentor others in the development and execution of LEAN principles
  • Introduce LEAN management systems and cell/department level Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI) to operations and support groups/departments
  • Ensure the organizational structure is reviewed on a regular basis and maintains alignment with the required resources required to continuously perform Lean activities and projects.
  • Perform benchmark studies as required
  • Drive the identification and adoption of "Best Practices"
  • Communicate the status/results of all assigned Lean projects to all levels of the organization
  • Provides documentation with metrics of results and benefits to the company
