Finance and Business Services

The key specialist service areas of Finance are:

  • Corporate Finance

  • Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Procurement

  • Financial Operations including Accounts Payable, Collections and Receivables, and Client Support Services

  • Professional Services teams - Advisory and Transactional Services

Finance at UQ operates within a devolved environment with Finance staff located in Professional Services teams in Faculties, Research Institutes and Central Divisions supported by Finance specialist service teams. The position is part of the Collections and Receivables stream within the Financial Operations team for Finance.

 

The role

The Training and Support Officer is to provide support to the Senior Training and Support Officer in the management of Finance and Business Services Helpdesk support, training and communications functions to the wider University Community.  You will be responsible for the day to day running of the Finance and Business Services Helpdesk and will assist in the preparation and delivery of support, training and communications documentation.

 

The person

Applicants should possess a relevant degree or diploma and/or substantial work experience in an administrative support field.  You should also have demonstrated high level interpersonal and communications skills, as well as excellent client service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and convincingly with people from a wide variety of backgrounds.  Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills are also critical to the role.

 

Remuneration

This is a full-time, fixed-term appointment for 6 months at HEW Level 6. The remuneration package will be in the range $74,207 - $79,965 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 9.5% (total package will be in the range $81,257 - $87,561 p.a.).
