The Department of Computer Science at the University of Bristol is seeking to appoint a part-time Teaching Fellow in Computer Science.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate relevant skills and experience that would enable them to contribute significantly to the department’s teaching in the areas of human-computer interaction and interactive devices. Applicants should have experience of running workshops on the design and construction of interactive devices, critically analysing interactive systems using design critique and reflective thinking techniques, and using quantitative and qualitative techniques to evaluate user experiences.

You will have an excellent teaching record and proven ability to motivate and support student development. Previous experience of the delivery of high-quality, innovative undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, including the supervision of student projects, is desirable. Interests in integrating teaching and research, and linking teaching with industry, technology, creativity and outreach are particularly welcomed. You will be expected to take a major role in these activities at Bristol, through innovative delivery, evolution and leadership of teaching and learning activities.

Applicants must include with their CV or cover letter a one-page teaching statement describing the contribution that they can make to teaching in the Department, especially in respect of innovation in delivery and content.
