Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology
The Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology (EAIT) comprises the Schools of Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, Mechanical and Mining Engineering, Architecture, and the Advanced Water Management Centre. The Faculty has more than 300 academic and research staff and over 5,000 students, including 3,500 undergraduate engineering students and 500 PhD students.
The role
The EAIT Stores Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the EAIT Delivery Point. The position will manage the safe receipt and dispatch of chemicals and hazardous goods, associated administrative functions, and contribute to the maintenance of the Faculty’s inventory systems and databases.
The person
Applicants should hold an Associate Diploma or certificate level qualification in a relevant area with a minimum of two years’ experience in a scientific store environment or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Experience with the handling of deliveries containing chemicals or scientific samples as well as knowledge of basic store procedures including stock management and receipting of goods is essential. You should also have proficient communication skills with the capacity to liaise effectively with a wide range of internal and external clients.

This role is a full-time position; however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
Remuneration
This is a full-time, continuing appointment at HEW Level 4. The remuneration package will be in the range $59,430 - $63,306 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $69,533 - $74,068 p.a.).
