Student Education Service Officer (Programme Support and Quality Assurance)

You will be based in the School of Sociology and Social Policy and be the School’s administrative lead focusing on two areas: programme support, including registration and enrolment and maintenance of the student record, and also quality assurance, which involves supporting the development, approval and implementation of the curriculum.

You will be responsible for ensuring smooth running of the administration and support service for these functions within the School. Whilst based in the School you will also be considered part of the wider Faculty Student Education Service, working with colleagues with a similar role in other Schools in the Faculty to secure effective teamwork and to develop consistent and effective Faculty-wide processes.

As one of the more senior members of the team, you will work with limited day-to-day direction, helping to set your own priorities which align with the strategy and aims of the Student Education Service and the School. You will contribute to the development of a consistent, high quality Education Service, making suggestions and contributing to decisions such as changes to operational procedures and practices.

Within the Student Education Service you will work flexibly with members of staff and where necessary support activities as workloads fluctuate, sharing good practice and encouraging knowledge exchange between colleagues to facilitate continuous improvement.
