Help Secure Permanence for Children in Care

A London based Local Authority is looking to take on an experienced Social Worker within their Corporate Parenting service to operate as a Family Finder and help secure permanency for Children in Care. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a service which is developing to provide a more holistic care for those Children that are being Looked After. Currently the service uses a number of specialists from a range of different professions to provide support and expert guidance to Social Workers who are working on complex or unusual cases.

Teams function as Pods within this service and you will be 1 of around 4 Social Workers who will benefit from weekly supervision to discuss cases with senior members of the Team, you will also be supported by a Senior Practitioner and an Advanced Practitioner.

This post is within a Local Authority that is performing very well; caseloads are very well controlled and average around 15. The teams are also very stable with most managers being employed on a permanent basis. There has also been a large drive to reduce the number of locums with the Authority which has proved to be very successful.

To be considered for this post you should have extensive experience in a Permanency and Adoption service.
