Job Details
Applications are invited for a Research Fellow working under Professor Alice Deignan, Head of the School of Education, to support and develop a range of research projects in the field of applied and corpus linguistics, with specific applications to education and the social sciences.
With expertise in applied and corpus linguistic research you will deal independently with a wide range of people and support existing research as well as conduct new primary research. You will also make a contribution to teaching activity in language education at a variety of levels within the School of Education, and will provide administrative support for the Centre for Language Education Research, under the direction of the centre leader.
You will have a first degree and a PhD (or be close to completion) in an area of corpus linguistics, preferably as applied to the social sciences and you will be experienced in corpus building and analysis using the latest software.
