Job Details
UTS has a strong history of international engagement and student recruitment, and has forged strong ties and mutually productive alliances worldwide. The university embeds inter-cultural and global perspectives in all aspects of university life, equipping both staff and students to operate in an international environment. Building strategic, high-quality research links with overseas partner institutions is key to our strategy for internationalisation and integral to our goal of becoming a world-leading university of technology.
As a member of the Senior Executive team, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International) will provide vision and leadership to build UTS’s global reach, cultural diversity and international capability in order to achieve our teaching, research, financial and service goals. Charged with the development and execution of the international strategy for UTS, s/he will play a leadership role in the development of organisational performance goals and targets for international strategies and initiatives across the University.
Critical to the success of this position is building close and effective relationships across UTS as well as engaging with government, business, industry and professional groups linked to our strategic interests and financial success.
The successful candidate will bring the ability to share a vision for internationalisation across the institution. A vision that encompasses UTS values, embraces change and innovation, and extends to the engagement of industry, partners and alumni. With demonstrated experience in leading the development of an international agenda across a similarly complex institution and a partnership approach to the achievement of a vision and cultural change, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International) will identify and create meaningful relationships that deliver positive and sustainable outcomes on a global scale.
