The individual hired for this position will be responsible for executing routine testing, supporting and/or leading method development activities, and evaluating new technologies related to the use of immunochemical methods used for release and stability testing for vaccines. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for working with management and/or project teams to identify the need for new immunoassays, source critical reagents, select the appropriate technology, evaluate method performance, optimize the assay, and ensure method robustness. The candidate may also support method Qualifications, transfers and validations.

The candidate may also serve as the analytical lead for one or more vaccines in clinical development. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for working with the project team to develop an appropriate analytical strategy, coordinating the development of new methods as needed, working with management to prioritize analytical resources, and supporting filings including authoring and/or reviewing INDs and BLAs.

Qualifications

Education:

- A Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or a related field with a minimum of seven (7) years of industry experience, OR a Master's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or a related field with a minimum of four (4) years of industry experience, OR a PhD.

Required:

- Previous experience developing analytical methods in an industry or academic setting.

- Experience with critical reagent generation and screening.

Preferred:

- Experience characterizing and/or developing assays for RNA and DNA.

- ELISA method development

- Critical reagent generation and screening

- Team experience

- Experience working in a GMP or GLP laboratory

- Authoring of scientific publications, SOPs, or technical documents

- Project Management
