With minimal supervision, the Senior Specialist is responsible for working with GCBI team members across the enterprise, as well as other internal business teams and other functional centers of excellence to understand business challenges and to propose, lead and manage appropriate market research to accurately address the business needs.

Duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:

- Provides oversight for all US copy test projects—issues guidance regarding appropriate methodology and project implementation—including legal review and analysis. Insights are to be used to optimize digital assets and media spend

- Implements social media listening studies. Briefs agencies to deliver what is required – understands vendor capabilities, quality requirements, and recommends innovative options.

- Socializes “best practices” for social and digital related initiatives based on organizational experience and industry guidance.

- Completes analyses using available secondary data, syndicated reports and databases and integrates findings into primary market research efforts to tell and evolve the "story". Socializes insights from custom audits and country specific reports on digital and mobile behaviors.

- Proactively collaborates with brand teams, commercial analytics, media buying teams and strategic partners in the measurement of digital effectiveness

- Under the guidance of a manager or leader, manages primary market research including leadership in proposing solutions to framing critical business questions, identification of information needs, development of the research and analysis plan, and management of the research process to deliver an objective understanding of business issues.

- Explores alternative and creative ways of meeting information needs in partnership with senior team members, considering new techniques and piloting them as needed to address priority business issues in a more effective or efficient and compliant manner

- Collaborates effectively with GC&BI team members as well as cross-functional business partners including, marketing, promotion, customer strategy & innovation, commercial analytics and agency partners to solve business challenges

- Independently manages competing demands. Works with manager to align on business priorities as needed.

Qualifications

Education:

- Preferred: MBA in Marketing, Masters in Marketing Research or associated degree including sociology, psychology, data science or analytics.

Required:

- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Healthcare industry across any division including Marketing, Sales, Market Research, or Analytics and a minimum of 2 years’ experience working with projects in the digital or social spaces. Experiences may overlap, minimum of 3 years total experience.

- Solid understanding of marketing principles, the healthcare environment, and global pharmaceutical markets

- Well-developed analytical skills, strong problem-solving, and demonstrated ability to think strategically and objectively

- Conversant with a variety of market research methods and models

Preferred:

- Experience with comScore

- Demonstrated experience working in ambiguity
