Widening Participation Co-ordinator UK Student Recruitment & Outreach

Location: Highfield Campus

Interview Date:  Tuesday 12 September 2017

The UK Student Recruitment and Outreach team is looking for a highly motivated individual who can work creatively as part of the team to contribute to the delivery and development of the University’s Widening Participation and Recruitment activity. 

The main focus of this post is to engage with activities which seek to improve the number and quality/diversity of undergraduate applicants to Higher Education, primarily but not exclusively focussing on Hampshire and the IOW. 

The post holder will be required to work both independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills and the ability to network and interact effectively with people at all levels is essential to the role.The post requires enthusiasm, energy and flexibility as well as a commitment to widening participation.    

You will create and deliver workshops in schools currently participating in the Learn with Us programme and attend careers events to offer information, advice and guidance related to Higher Education.  You will support larger on campus projects, events and the work of the project leaders as required.
