My client is looking for a dynamic and client-oriented professional to join their team as Key Account Manager to manage and develop their client portfolio in Southern England.

My client is a global in vitro diagnostics company specializing in the area of pre-transfusion diagnostics that has been active on the market since 1982, which mean that the resource would get to work in a very solid company with a strong reputation on the market and add great value to their CV.

The resource will report directly to the Sales Manager UK, and will join a small team of five people, which will give them the chance to work in direct contact with professionals with a strong experience, getting all the support they need hence developing professionally.

As a Key Account Manager, you will:

  • Monitor and report competitors' activities;
  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify business opportunities;
  • Perform product and instrument demonstrations;
  • Manage contract negotiations and tender activity as required;
  • Establish and maintain current customer and potential customer relationships;
  • Travel extensively and overnight stay in and out of specified territory as required to also attend conferences, exhibitions and relevant sponsored

The ideal candidate will have the following characteristics:

  • English native speaker or equivalent;
  • Higher education degree in a relevant technical or scientific subject;
  • 3-5 years of relevant sales experience working with medical devices in Southern England;
  • Good working knowledge of the medical diagnostic field (ideally Blood Transfusion laboratory experience);
  • Ability to demonstrate products to potential customers;
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all organizational levels;
  • Ability to work in a team.
