Senior Project Manager - Outside IR35 - London

My client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to help rationalise the biometrics systems and technology currently in place. This is a great opportunity to be involved in the long-term security of the country, by bringing all systems together and making sure that the UK is equipped to deal with threats of terrorism, organised crime and immigration.

This contract is Outside IR35, meaning you pay less tax and have more money for yourself at the end of the month.

This role requires Active SC clearance. Applicants require active SC clearance or the willingness to go through clearance before starting on site. Candidates with current clearance will be preferred.

Role Purpose

The Project Manager will ensure all sprints are coordinated, planned and delivered to time and budget and that all releases are managed appropriately.

This will involve taking requirements from customer stakeholders, tasking and managing incumbent suppliers, resolving day to day delivery issues, managing the budget, and reporting progress through the governance chain.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for Sprint Delivery (with HADES PM support), HADES Releases and BSG L3 Service 3.
• Lead Application and Platform Delivery Plan and Release Plan for Maintenance and Major Releases
• Systems and Service Integration, End to End Testing
• Transition to Live experience within Home Office
• Implement and manage effective and appropriate project governance
• Own the production of key project management products, ensuring they meet the required quality standards and are approved by the relevant stakeholders
• Define and manage project and workstream budgets and resourcing plans within project and programme levels and tolerances
• Work closely with the Technical Design Authority team in producing high quality technical requirements and translating requirements into deliverable plans.
• Working with other Delivery Leads, Project Managers, Technical Design Authority and Commercial, identify the optimum delivery path for competing projects.
• Manage or contribute to other projects and activities which may be associated with or relate to the main project activity, or the wider delivery of the programme.

• Equivalent experience in delivering in a similar role or industry
• Strong analytical and numerical skills

• Demonstrable resilience under pressure
• Scrum (and other agile methodologies)
• PRINCE2
• Management of Risk (M_o_R)
• Scaled Agile (e.g. Certified SAFe Agilist)
• Enterprise Project Management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project Server, CA Clarity, Primavera)
• Certified Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master
• Security Clearance status

Candidate Eligibility

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 - General visas are cannot be accepted. This role requires that candidates be willing to undergo BPSS (DS) Baseline Personnel Security Standard (with a Disclosure Scotland).
