Part-time ICT Online Facilitator (contract appointment: 1 year)

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Support online students with all ICT related and technical challenges they face in the online programmes.

  • Present ICT module online.

  • Online assessment and feedback to students.

  •  

    Inherent requirements:

  • Teachers’ Diploma/B Ed degree or equivalent qualification in Education (e.g. B degree + PGCE).

  • Three (3) years’ relevant experience.

  •  

    Required competencies:

  • Good interpersonal skills.

  • Extensive and high level computer skills with Microsoft trainer and ICDL or equivalent.

  • High level computer skills in Ms Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Ability to handle tasks promptly and accurately.

  • Ability to function independently.

  • Organisational skills.

  • Decision making and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to think creatively.

  • Continuously updating and using relevant knowledge.

  • Ability to work after hours. 

  •  

    Recommendations:

  • Work experience with Blackboard.

  • Experience of Higher Education distance learning and online programmes.

  • Experience of adult education.

  • Four (4) years’ teaching experience.

  •  

    Assumption of duties:
    As soon as possible.
