Are you an experienced and influential academic with the proven ability to carry out research and teaching in critical human geography? Do you have an excellent research record, proven success obtaining funding and the vision and drive to tackle new challenges? Are you passionate about delivering an exceptional student experience in a research-intensive Russell Group University?

As Lecturer/Associate Professor, you will carry out research, teaching and management within the school, faculty and university and contribute to academic leadership in the field of critical human geography.  You will become an active member of the Social Justice, Cities, Citizenship (SJCC) research cluster in the School of Geography and will have an ability to build international research collaborations particularly in non-western regions. 

You will have substantial research experience in a region of either Asia or Africa and your work must complement the research of the SJCC cluster related to one or more of the following themes: social and economic inequalities, citizenship, human rights, and/or migration and (im)mobility.  Your research should contribute to addressing challenges related to promoting sustainable societies and/or development. 

We welcome candidates who can contribute to methodological innovation in their field related to either qualitative or quantitative methods.
