The UQ Medical Program
The Faculty of Medicine’s MD Program aims to be renowned internationally for its outstanding people, the diversity of its student intake, the excellence of its education and its exceptional graduates. Its MD program includes graduate entry and school-leaver entry streams, and is an integrated, case-based/problem based learning program. The Phase 1 or preclinical component of the program is delivered by a combination of biomedical scientists and clinicians, predominantly at the St. Lucia campus but also at affiliated major teaching hospitals. Phase 2 is delivered at a large number of hospitals in Brisbane, across Queensland and in Louisiana.
The role
The Written Examination Lead is responsible for coordinating the development and delivery of MCQ, SBA, EMQ and SAQ across Phase 1 and 2 of the program. The position will contribute to the development of faculty and staff to support the consistent production and delivery of written assessments. In addition, the Written Examination Lead provides academic leadership for the continual enhancement of all forms of written examinations.
The person
Applicants should possess either Undergraduate qualifications in a discipline relevant to the role or an MBBS or equivalent medical qualification, and be eligible for registration as a medical practitioner in Australia. You will have previous experience in the development and management of faculty development programs, including the development of relevant teaching and learning resources.
Remuneration
This is a part-time (0.5FTE), continuing appointment, at Teaching Focused Academic Level B/C. The full-time remuneration package will be in the range $92, 142.74 -$109,419.20 p.a Level B and $112,874.46 - $130,150.91 p.a. Level C, plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range of $107,807.01 - $128,020.46p.a Level B and $132 063.12 - $152 276.56 p.a Level C). This salary will be pro-rated to 0.5FTE and Clinical Loadings may be payable to eligible appointees.
