Job Details
The National Institute for Health Research Bristol Biomedical Research Centre (NIHR Bristol BRC) is a £21M partnership between University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust (UHBristol) and the University of Bristol. BRCs translate innovative basic scientific research into improvements in health and healthcare for the benefit of patients. Commercialisation of research arising from the BRC and development of links with industry are key to the success of the BRC.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to work across the partner institutions to help shape and lead on the implementation of BRC’s industrial engagement strategy, to lead on commercialisation aspects of other funded clinical research grants at UHBristol and to work with academic and clinical researchers to transfer knowledge to business. You will work with researchers and clinicians to identify, evaluate and protect outputs of research and create license agreement opportunities or new spin-out companies for the transfer of such knowledge, representing the University and UHBristol in these negotiations. You will build and manage a portfolio of projects and help secure translational grant funding for some of these.
The University is committed to creating and sustaining a fully inclusive culture. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and communities.
