Lead Sourcing Business Manager - Agri Business/Speciality Corn

I am currently working with a growing global company who have a strong presence in the food, agro-chemical and ingredients market. Due to development of the company, they are currently looking to expand the procurement department. The position is for a Agri-Business Manager based in the North of Germany. This is a great opportunity for a motivated and specialist professional who wants to join a organisation that reward each of their employees based on their hard work and dedication.

You will be responsible for all sourcing and negation for the agri-business function. You will be working closely with the head of procurement and business manager and together you will be implementing new processes and strategies to improve the purchasing and business needs. The Head of Procurement is currently looking for someone who can be hands on and help develop the procurement department and working on a number of projects to broaden the view of the department in a cost effective manner.

Responsibilities will include:

• Sourcing and optimising suppliers: corn market, traders, coops & farmers
• Risk Management
• Business development - market analysis
• Logistics - dealing with air, sea and road fright)

To be successful candidate must have:

• 4+ years sourcing/ trading experience
• Logistics experience - air, road and sea fright
• Bachelor in Agro-chemical/ economics or similar
• Risk management and quality
• Fluent in German and English
