Senior Toxicologist- New BU - Germany

I'm currently working with a global market leader within the Health and Hygiene sectors who are currently growing the company through the development of a new business unit. To help stimulate this growth, they are now looking for a Senior Toxicology Risk Assessor to work in their Swedish offices on a permanent basis.

This is an excited opportunity for a risk assessment professional to be at the forefront of a new business unit where you will play a key role in the development of a new Toxicology department. While this will initially be a mixture of operational and strategic roles, there are great opportunities for the future where you will be growing the department allowing you to move into a management position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be the key Product Safety specialist of existing and new business units
• Develop procedure and requirements in relation to Product Safety strategies
• Conduct and coordinate risk assessments for Raw Materials and Finished Products
• Develop the competencies within Human Health risk assessments through mentoring junior team members
• Be a pivotal point of contact with the global regulatory network and defend interests of company at national authorities

Key Requirements:

• A scientific education to MSc or PhD level within Toxicology or Chemistry
• Around 7 to 12 years experience within Human Health Risk Assessments
• Strong understanding of EU Regulatory guidelines for Chemicals, Cosmetics and OTCs
• Profound understanding of Product Stewardship
• Strong communication skills with the ability to develop and train others
• A professional proficiency in English, Swedish would be an advantage
