- Undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the field of Human Resource Management and Industrial Psychology, with specific reference to Employment Relations and Labour Law;
- Academic leadership directed towards the further development of the Human Resource Management programme;
- Postgraduate supervision and research;
- Presenting research at conferences;
- Publishing in accredited journals;
- Rendering relevant services to the University and the community.
For appointment as Senior Lecturer:
- A doctorate in Industrial Psychology or Human Resource Management and an appropriate level of research output, or a doctorate and professional registration as Industrial Psychologist;
- Proven expertise, practical and teaching experience with respect to Employment Relations, Labour Law and Human Resource Management.
For appointment as Lecturer:
- A Master's degree in Industrial Psychology or Human Resource Management;
- Proven expertise and practical experience with respect to Employment Relations, Labour Law and Human Resource Management, with appropriate teaching experience will be an advantage.
- Proven record of published research;
- Registration with the South African Board for People Practices;
- Registration with the Professional Board for Psychology as Industrial Psychologist;
- Membership with the International Labour and Employment Relations Association.
