Job Purpose
This post will assist and contribute to the creation of knowledge by undertaking a specified range of activities related to the surveying of Crop Wild Relatives in Norway and IUCN Red listing of wheat and rice crop wild relatives within the Plant Genetic Conservation Research Group within the School of Biosciences, University of Birmingham.
Person Specification
- A relevant first degree plus a relevant Masters in the area of genetic resources.
- Possesses sufficient breadth and depth of specialist knowledge in the discipline and or research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes. It is extremely important that the post-holder has first-hand knowledge and experience of plant genetic resources, particularly as applied in an international context.
- Ability to analyse information and communicate effectively
- Ability to access and organise resources successfully
