Global R&D Project Manager - Medical Devices

Market leader in life science diagnostics with the manufacturing centre based near Heidelberg are currently searching for an experience Global Project Manager to deal with global R&D projects by joining them on the innovation of a new technology. The company have sites based all around the world (Europe, US and Asia) leading to great opportunities to develop your skills and also your career.

This is a senior position where you will be leading global teams, managing projects across the whole medical device life cycle. What is more, you will be dealing with procurement, operations and coordinating the design engineers. You will get a chance to expand your global experience and also work with experienced team leaders, which will allow you to gain skills needed to progress your career into director level roles.

As a R&D Project Manager you will be responsible for:

* Managing complex R&D projects with a team of highly qualified researchers and developers.

* Driving innovation, play a critical role throughout the whole development cycle - from development to launch (Understand customer needs; drive the customer needs together with product managers; prepare product proposals and business cases and lead gate-review meetings.

* Lead projects from concept to delivery. Ensure alignment across different R&D functions, across departments (R&D, Marketing, Operations).and with the senior leadership team
Play a key role in (transactional) process improvements.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

* Several years of experience in project management of medical technology (proven track record)

* GMP strong knowledge

* Know the standard of ISO 13485

* Strong interest in project management and process improvement

* Experience with cross functional teams in a matrix organisation, and background presenting reports and findings to sr management

* Ideally some validation and verification experience

* Proven track record in managing new product development projects from concept phase through industrialization and production

* Good German or willingness to learn
