A Post-doctoral fellowship is available within the project FAPESP/CEPID-  Center for the Development of Functional Materials. Its main objective is an investigation of catalytic materials for CO2 reduction. Candidates must have degree in Chemistry or Material Science and should have experience in electrochemical techniques and supported nanoparticles metallic catalyst synthesis. In addition, it is desirable that the candidate be familiar with different physical characterization techniques, such as: Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS); knowledge in vibrational absorption spectroscopy in the infrared region and/or chromatographic techniques.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP's Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 7,174.80 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.

Candidates must hold a PhD degree obtained in the country or abroad in the area of Chemistry or Materials Science for a maximum of 7 (seven) years. The candidate should post publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals in the project area.
