Job Details

The Rheumatology Division on University of Sao Paulo's Medicine School (FMUSP) offers one post-doctoral research grants (physician, pharmacist, biologist or biomedical). The fellowship, which demands exclusive dedication (40-hours weekwork) and has a total duration of 24 months, will be funded by the Sao Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP, number 2016/00006-7, period: August, 1th, 2017 to July, 31th, 2022).

The title of this project is: “Evaluation of Bone Metabolism Parameters by HR-pQCT and Histomorphometry in Rheumatoid Arthritis and Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis Patients: Association with Clinical and Genetic Variables”
The opportunity is in the area of genetics, with emphasis on transcriptome analysis and bioinformatics. Candidates should have technical knowledge in RNA extraction, transcriptome analysis and data processing using specific software. It is required a doctoral degree for Brazilians or an equivalent degree for foreigners.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP’s Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 7.174,80 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
