Your tasks
The scholarships serve as support during the start-up phase of the doctorate. In the first half year, the scholarship holders must prepare a funding application to apply to the Swiss National Science Foundation or another funding institution for the further funding of their doctorate project.
your profile
A high motivation is expected to become involved in the doctoral program as well as enrollment at the University of Basel. The fellowship is aimed at students who have an above-average master's degree in ancient science. A dissertation project, which is located in the research foci of the Departement of Antiquity Science of the University of Basle, and is accompanied by a lecturer in the department as a first or second tutor from the time of admission to the doctoral program.
The application can be submitted in German, French or English. Postgraduate students must enroll as doctoral students at the University of Basel. The primary or first tutor must belong to the Department of Ancient History of the Faculty of Philosophy and History.
