We are inviting applications for the post of Academic Clinical Lecturer in Rheumatology at the University of Bristol. This post provides an excellent opportunity for a rheumatology trainee with outstanding potential, to develop a successful career in academic rheumatology within a thriving and supportive environment. Clinical training will be based in the Department of Rheumatology, North Bristol NHS Trust. Research opportunities and environments are available in observational and genetic epidemiology, clinical sciences and health services research.

The Clinical Lectureship is designed to provide postdoctoral support for a talented clinical academic with a proven interest in this discipline who has submitted their higher degree (PhD, MD or equivalent) prior to applying for the post. The post will provide a 50/50 split between clinical and academic training.

The Lectureship is available for a maximum of four years starting on or after 1st January 2018 and is intended to enable the completion of clinical training, as well as the attainment of further support for research (e.g. intermediate or postdoctoral fellowship or personal grants) and experience in teaching.

The research interests of applicants should complement existing research programmes.
