The role

The successful appointee will support the Industrial Systems Biology initiative at AIBN. The Senior Analytical Chemist will design, support and execute analytical development studies for proteomics and metabolomics (particularly LCMS) as part of the Queensland node of Metabolomics and Proteomics.

 

The person

Applicants must have a PhD in Analytical Chemistry or related disciplines and have a demonstrated expert knowledge in the area of multi-omics analyses.  The successful appointee will have hands-on experience in HPLC, GC, LCMS and be able to demonstrate their contribution to research including publications in metabolomics and proteomics.  An ability to establish effective relationships and to represent and promoted the academic discipline at a University and wider community level is also essential.

Remuneration

This is a full-time, fixed term appointment for 12 months at Academic Research Level A or B and will be commensurate with the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience. The remuneration package will be in the range $81,545 - $109,419 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $95,408 - $128,020 p.a.).
