International Purchasing Manager - Fine Chemical & Chemistry

Brand new position with a growing life science company!

My client started as a small business in 2005 and have now grown to over 100 employees in their site in Germany. Currently they are implementing some new expansion plans and are currently developing the procurement department and are now in need of a Purchasing Manager who will join them in the South/West of Germany to take on and develop the purchasing team.

In this position you will be responsible for all strategical purchasing. Having the chance to be responsible for all sourcing negotiation whilst working closely with high calibre professionals, will allow you to work independently but also work with a great team whilst learning and gaining more experience in the business. As they are a growing company they need someone who knows how to deal with all their products, whilst ensuring that this is done in a strategical manner. It is essential that you have a strong theoretical background in the chemistry, either as a chemist/ chemical engineer or similar. As you will be sourcing and analysing the market, my client needs someone who knows how the fine chemicals market works.

To be successful candidate must have:

  • 5+ years experience experienced Purchaser
  • Experience working in the fine chemical market
  • Bachelor degree in Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering *must
  • Team management experience
  • Fluent in German & English
