Role: Geo-Environmental Consultant
Location: Bristol
Salary: £24,000 - £30,000 + Benefits dependent on experience/location

I am currently looking for an ambitious Geo-Environmental Engineer with approximately over 3+ years experience for a well established engineering consultancy. They cover a broad spectrum of service areas giving you variety in workload and the chance to enhance your technical knowledge.

Role

  • As a Geo-Environmental Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and management of geo-environmental and geotechnical projects, including: desk studies, ground investigations (factual and interpretative), human health, groundwater and gas risk assessments and preparation of Remediation Method Statements.
  • Projects frequently involve consideration and assessment of geotechnical issues as part of site assessments and therefore an awareness of geotechnical aspects relating to foundation design will form part of the role, with the potential to become involved in slope stability reviews, earthworks assessment, design of temporary works such as piling platforms, crane bases and piled platforms, as appropriate for your level of experience.
  • This role will comprise a varied mix of office and site works, with an ability to manage site work and contractors in the field an essential part of the role.
  • You will also provide clients with geo-environmental and/or geotechnical advice and assistance as required on an ad hoc basis and negotiate and liaise with relevant regulatory authorities (NHBC, EA, LA etc.) as necessary.
  • You will have a good working knowledge of appropriate British Standards, Eurocodes, Industry Guidance and NHBC Standards.
  • You will also be required to provide advice and mentoring to more junior staff within the team as well as assistance to members of other, related, teams within Hydrock.

*This is an outstanding opportunity to develop your career with a successful and caring employer with an excellent reputation in the industry.*
