Job Details
We are seeking 3 Postdoctoral Associates for a new project in the area of Microfluidic Approaches to Manufacture Drug Products. The project will explore how to combine bottom up and top down approaches to formulate drug products.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in area of chemical engineering, materials science engineering, biological engineering, chemistry or related disciplines
- Candidates are expected to have expertise in experimental soft matter, in particular hydrogels and/or emulsions
- Candidates with additional experience in microfluidics, microscopy, crystallization, transport phenomena, and microfabrication will have an added advantage
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Ability to collaborate, work in teams and interact with industrial collaborators
- The project is a jointly led by Prof. Patrick Doyle (MIT, SMART) and Prof. Saif Khan (NUS, SMART), and will have collaborations with Prof. deMello (ETH) and industry. This position will be based in Singapore at the SMART Center (Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology), with the possibility of traveling to MIT for short periods of time as part of the international collaboration. Anticipated start date for these positions is 1 January 2018.
